1. General Provisions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Vitality Pro Clean.

By making a booking, the customer confirms that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, together with the description of the selected service on our website, including the sections What's Included, Why Choose Us and Important Notes.

The service description published on our website forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions and defines the scope of the relevant service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects any statutory consumer rights available to the customer under applicable Irish law.

2. Bookings

2.1 Booking Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once we have confirmed it to the customer.

Submitting a form through the website, sending an email, message, social media enquiry or any other request does not, by itself, confirm a booking.

2.2 Deposit

In some cases, we may request a deposit before confirming a booking.

This may apply, for example:

  • for new customers;
  • for higher-value bookings;
  • for properties located outside our standard service area;
  • where a deposit is reasonably required to reserve the appointment or cover possible costs in the event of cancellation.

The amount of any deposit will be confirmed to the customer in advance.

If no deposit is required, the booking may be confirmed without one.

2.3 Deposit Refunds

If a booking is cancelled more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, any deposit paid will be refunded in full or, at the customer's choice, transferred to a new booking date.

If a booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, or if the customer prevents the service from taking place for reasons outside our reasonable control, the deposit will not normally be refunded, as it is intended to cover the loss of the reserved appointment time and costs already incurred.

If we cancel the booking and no suitable alternative appointment can be agreed, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.

2.4 Statutory Cancellation Rights for Distance Bookings

Where a booking is made online, by telephone, email, message, social media or any other distance communication method, the customer may have a statutory right to cancel the booking within 14 days, subject to applicable Irish consumer law.

If the customer expressly requests that the service is carried out during this 14-day period, the customer agrees that we may begin the service before the cancellation period has expired.

Where the service has been fully completed during the 14-day cancellation period at the customer's request, the customer acknowledges that the statutory right to cancel may no longer apply, where permitted by law.

If the customer cancels after requesting that the service begins during the 14-day cancellation period, the customer may be required to pay for any work already carried out before cancellation.

2.5 Changes to the Price

Prices are based on the information provided by the customer at the time of booking.

If, after arrival, the actual scope of work, size of the property, type of appliance, level of soiling or condition of the premises is materially different from the information provided, we may revise the price before work begins.

Any revised price will be discussed and agreed with the customer before the service starts.

2.6 If the Customer Does Not Agree to the Revised Price

If the customer does not agree to the revised price, the service will not begin.

2.7 Additional Work

The customer may request additional work during the appointment.

Additional work is carried out only if we have enough time available and only after it has been agreed with the customer.

Additional work is charged separately, either at the current published price or at a price agreed before the work is carried out.

We are not required to carry out additional work if doing so would affect later bookings or our working schedule.

2.8 Service Area

Our standard service area covers Dublin and the surrounding areas.

Bookings outside our standard service area may be accepted by prior agreement.

An additional travel charge may apply for bookings outside our standard service area. Any such charge will be confirmed to the customer in advance.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

3.1 Rescheduling by the Customer

The customer may request to reschedule a confirmed booking by contacting us in advance.

We will do our best to offer the nearest suitable appointment, but we cannot guarantee availability on the customer's preferred date or time.

3.2 Cancellation by the Customer

The customer may cancel a booking by notifying us through any reasonable contact method.

If a deposit has been paid, the deposit will be handled in accordance with the deposit provisions in these Terms & Conditions.

3.3 Cancellation or Rescheduling by Us

We may cancel or reschedule a booking due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • illness;
  • road traffic accidents;
  • unsafe weather conditions;
  • vehicle or equipment failure;
  • other unforeseen circumstances.

Where this happens, we will offer the customer the nearest suitable alternative appointment or refund any deposit paid if rescheduling is not possible.

3.4 Right to Decline or Refuse Work

We may decline or refuse to carry out a service before work begins if the service cannot be carried out safely, cannot reasonably be completed to a professional standard, is materially different from the information provided at the time of booking, or would be contrary to our professional judgement.

This may include, but is not limited to:

  • unsafe working conditions;
  • lack of electricity or running water where required for the service;
  • aggressive or uncontrolled animals;
  • conditions presenting a health or safety risk;
  • the actual condition of the property being substantially different from that described at the time of booking;
  • requests that fall outside the agreed scope of work.

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason for declining the service.

4. Access to the Property and Customer Responsibilities

4.1 Access

The customer is responsible for ensuring that we have safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed appointment time.

If access cannot be provided, the appointment may be treated as a cancellation.

4.2 Utilities

Where required for the booked service, the customer must ensure that electricity and running water are available throughout the appointment.

If essential utilities are unavailable, we may be unable to complete the service.

4.3 Preparation of the Property

The customer is responsible for preparing the areas included in the booked service.

Where applicable, this may include emptying cupboards, refrigerators, freezers or other areas that require internal cleaning, as well as providing reasonable access to the areas to be cleaned.

If the property is not adequately prepared, we may be unable to complete all or part of the agreed service.

4.4 Personal Belongings

The customer is responsible for securing money, jewellery, important documents and other valuable or irreplaceable personal belongings before the appointment.

We recommend that such items are stored safely before work begins.

5. Scope of Services

5.1 Scope of Work

We provide only the services described on our website or otherwise agreed before the appointment.

Any work not included in the published service description is outside the scope of the booking unless agreed separately.

5.2 Cleaning Does Not Include Repair or Restoration

Cleaning improves the cleanliness and appearance of surfaces but does not repair, restore or renew damaged materials.

Existing wear, scratches, corrosion, permanent staining, discolouration, damaged finishes, ageing or deterioration cannot be removed through cleaning alone.

5.3 Results Depend on the Condition of the Item

The final result depends on the age, condition, material and previous maintenance of the item or surface being cleaned.

Some stains, marks, odours, mould staining, limescale, discolouration or other contamination may remain despite professional cleaning.

5.4 Service-Specific Information

Any conditions, exclusions, preparation requirements or limitations described within the selected service on our website form part of these Terms & Conditions and apply to that booking.

6. Liability

6.1 Reasonable Care

We will carry out all services with reasonable care, skill and attention appropriate to the type of service provided.

6.2 Existing Damage

We are not responsible for defects, wear, damage or deterioration that existed before the service was carried out, even if such issues become more visible after cleaning.

6.3 Delicate Materials

Some materials, finishes and surfaces naturally become more fragile with age or previous wear.

Although appropriate care is always taken, we cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting solely from the existing condition of the material.

6.4 Customer Instructions

Where the customer requests a cleaning method contrary to our professional advice, we reserve the right to refuse that request or, where appropriate, carry it out only after the customer accepts the associated risk.

7. Completion of the Service and Customer Satisfaction

7.1 Inspection

We encourage the customer to inspect the completed work before we leave the property whenever reasonably possible.

7.2 Reporting Concerns

If the customer believes that any part of the agreed service has been missed or not completed to a reasonable standard, they should notify us as soon as reasonably possible after the appointment.

7.3 Opportunity to Resolve

Where a genuine issue is identified, we will be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the matter and, where appropriate, return to rectify any area that falls within the original scope of the booked service.

Refunds or other remedies will not normally be considered unless we have first been given a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

7.4 Exclusions

This procedure applies only to work included within the original booking and does not apply to:

  • new soiling occurring after the service;
  • new damage caused after completion of the service;
  • normal wear and tear;
  • the natural return of mould, odours or limescale where the underlying cause remains;
  • changes occurring after the service has been completed;
  • matters falling outside the agreed scope of work.

8. Drying Times and Aftercare

8.1 Drying Times

For services involving water or moisture, including upholstery, mattresses, rugs and carpets, drying times are estimates only.

Actual drying times depend on factors such as room temperature, ventilation, humidity, the material being cleaned and the level of soiling.

8.2 Customer Responsibilities After Cleaning

Where aftercare instructions are provided, the customer agrees to follow them.

Failure to follow reasonable aftercare guidance may affect the final result and is outside our responsibility.

9. Photographs

9.1 Before and After Photographs

We may take photographs before, during and after the service for documentation, quality control and the protection of both parties in the event of a complaint or dispute.

Where reasonably possible, photographs will focus only on the relevant work area or item being cleaned.

9.2 Personal Information

We make every reasonable effort to avoid capturing personal information or identifying individuals in these photographs.

Where photographs contain personal data, they will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.

9.3 Marketing Use

Photographs will not be used for advertising, marketing, social media or any public purpose without the customer's prior permission.

10. Payment

10.1 Payment Due

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the service.

10.2 Accepted Payment Methods

Payment may be made using any payment method accepted by us at the time of the appointment.

10.3 Invoices

An invoice or payment confirmation will be provided upon request or where required by law.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version published on our website at the time of booking will apply to the customer's booking unless otherwise required by applicable law.
